I hope everyone had a great Christmas (if you had one). What were you guys up to?

Anyway I just watched Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the valley of the Wind. It's my favorite now by far. The only movies I haven't seen of his yet is Ponyo and Porco Rosso so maybe they'll be better, not really sure. But the enviroments were beautiful, the animationtion was almost perfect and the story really engaged me. I don't normally cry with movies but it did get me teary eyed. The only thing that... annoyed me, was the music. But I can't blame them for anything it is rather old and they did tend to like those old synthisizers back in the 80's. If you haven't already seen it and you like Miyazaki I think this is a must see. I believe it was his first movie of the busniess too.... One of his firsts anyway...

I also managed to get to play Folklore on the PS3. It is such a blast. I really want a PS3 so I could play it some more. T-T But it's basicly focused on these two characters (the playable characters 2 of them) who manage to stumble -sort of- into a bizzare town that has a portal to the "Netherworld" and in the Netherworld you get to meet dead people and have a chat. But there are monsters which (it's a really complicated system) I believe are called "folks" and to kill them you have to rip their souls out (so fun)- R1 and pull up. I only played the beginning but it has rather good graphic an interesting atmosphere and charaters. The story line is rather good yet at times cheesy and fairly bad voice acting. But it's still rather good if you like RPG's it's rather unique I would say.

Rant rant rant... Anyway I had a good Christmas. I got to see most of my family and spend a few days with them and had a lot of fun talking to and hanging out with all of them (all the one's I could get to). I wish I could of spent more time with a few of them but I really need to hang out with my friends that have come back also. I'm rather anti social though I like hanging out but most of the time I like doing whatever by myself. Bad ME! But hope your Christmas's were great and I'd be interested in hearing what you got. ^^

Semester OVER!!!

FRRRRRREEEEEEDDDDOOOMMMM! Freedom, my friends, feels so good. (My god that protein bar was nasty, bleh). Anyway, I just finished my finals two days ago. I don't recall having been on the computer for 3 days and things are stacking up. Fianls were delayed to the end of the week because of a blizard that literally lasted from late that evening and continued for roughly 2 days. We ended up with 2 1/2 feet of snow and 3-4 feet on the mountain (but the winds blew most of the snow off the mountain so Snowbowl isn't open yet). Power went out that night so the heater wasn't working, it was out for 6-7 hrs.

To be honest the end of the semester, it hasn't really soaked in. Probably because I'm still so stressed out over my grades...

Namely my Math 142 class (College Mathmatics) which practically gave me a heart attack just before it. I had been studying for 2 hours the night before, writing notes and such and ended up forgetting my calculator the next morning. So like 10 min before the test I realized I didn't have my calculator, my heart sank and my chest grew tight. A really nasty feeling, I must say. So I was running around the school asking people I knew if they had a calculator. Finally I made it to "Faculty Reception" and I was able to temporarily trade my cell for a calculator. From there I ran back, just in time. The test itself wasn't so bad, but I can never seem to have confidence with myself with anything.

I just hope in ENG,RDG and MAT that I get at least a C. Gah.. Must know grade but I have to wait a week. BLah.

Well at least I've got some good classes for next semester, (trying to distract myself). So I'm happy about the new.

I'm planning on doing a lot of gesture drawing and such studies to better myself with anatomy. Hoping to finish a few contest pictures for Gaian contests. Possibly open a art shop on gaia... POSSIBLY.

So yeah. Definatly, a eventful week. Hope ya'll are doing well. Well, how are you all doing?

OH MY GOD SNOW SNOW SNOW! THe first snow storm of the season. I'm so excited. I was looking out my window this morning and there where barely any clouds in the sky. Then I went out shopping for some things (like my brand new warm fuzzy coat -early christmas present-) and I walk out side and there is like half an inch of snow on the ground. So we were running around to all these stores and it snowed the-whole-TIME! My sister and her friend had enough snow to make a snowman tonight. I hope it continues to snow and hope it doesn't melt away fast so it can build up. I don't enjoy the fact that I'll have to walk to my car with a portfolio and box of supplies this winter though.

On another note, school. Yeah... I'm a B student right now. Shame on me, I took too many classes. I just hope I can make it these next two weeks and at least get a C in my classes. I'm not lazy I just have way too much to do. I've got like 5 papers to write this weekend and math homework. *headdesk* I'm doomed. :faint: I'm so bad, I procrasitate and this time it really has come back to bite me. *sigh* But luckily I'm happy with my schedule for next semester. Huzzah (almost there... so.... close)!

Hope your thanksgiving was great. How's life for you guys?

Art Institute of Phoenix......

So I just spent 4 days in Phoenix, for a few reasons (and should be doing homework). Mainly to go to the open house at the Art Institute of Phoenix. It's one building compared to the Academy of Art in San Fransisco (13 buildings). They both seem to have their pros and cons. But to continue on the AI they do have some great teachers who really know what they're doing. Another good thing is that it is small (though hard to get in to) so there is more individual attention. I went to the Game Art and Design presentation (couldn't choose between Game Art and Design or Animation so I just choose what popped into my head) and they are using the newest technology. As for housing it was rather nice, but I was offered a place to stay actually 2 places by my family. I don't know whether I should take them up on their offer if I do go, I don't want to be a mooch (though I guess you could consider me one now... though my parents don't really care, they'd rather it be that way). The Game Art and Design Program is however very demanding. I can't remember how many hours of work a day you have but I can safely say I couldn't have a job too. And the price is the same as the Academy about $90,000 by the end and that doesn't count for the supplies and housing. :o

On a side note. I don't see why they have to be so damn pushy. God, I'm still deciding don't have a heart attack when I say that! "Well it's best to sign up now so you don't pay for unnessecary classes." It's not that bad on the outside but the tone in her voice. Jeez, that lady was intimidating. I have a hard enough time saying "no" as it is (well actually this time it was easy).

On another quick note, I sorry (for those who actually care) that I haven't posted new drawings recently. Honestly I've probably done about 50 new drawings I've just been lazy. But I'm guessing not too many people really care. Anyway, I've been trying to start a new style (as you might have noticed a bit) and I'm frustrated trying to figure out what I like... actually I take that back it's been kinda fun. I've gained new techniques and habits in my Life Drawing class. Right now we're working on animals and I've been working on my dog for about 4 hours. I think I might post it.. though it's rather large.

Anyway, thanks for your time if you read this. How are you guys? Any new information in your life that you would like to share?

Sorry for talking your ear off. ^^;

Happy Halloween!!!!!

So what are you guyz doing tonight?

In other news I'm going to see the Art Institute of Pheonix next weekend. I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully my parents will finally say okay you can go but the money issue... I mean it's cheaper for me just to go to Portland State, (which I am concidering)even though I live in AZ. Stupid private schools. -_-

Anyway happy halloween have a great night. =D
